Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information RE Notes, Instruments & Investments, LLC (“RE Notes,” “we,” “us”) collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to respond to you and to evaluate the instruments you ask us to review. We do not sell personal information and we do not send marketing messages.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you complete a form, call or e-mail us, we receive what you choose to share, which may include: your name, e-mail address, telephone number and organization; your role in a transaction; and information about a note, judgment, lien, property or investment matter, such as balances, locations, court and case details, and the identity of a payor or debtor. If you later send documents for due diligence, those documents may contain additional personal information about you and about third parties.
Information collected automatically
Our web server records standard technical information for each visit, such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. Our form handler records the IP address and browser of each submission to prevent abuse. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Embedded services on certain pages (see Section 4) may set their own cookies.
2. How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry, prepare an offer and communicate with you about a transaction.
- To evaluate an instrument, which may include verifying documents, title, collateral value and the circumstances of a payor or debtor through public records and third-party services.
- To complete a purchase, including preparing assignments, escrow instructions and closing documents.
- To operate, secure and improve the website and to detect and prevent spam, fraud and abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not use your information to send newsletters or promotional messages, and we do not enroll you in any marketing list.
3. How information is shared
We share personal information only as needed for the purposes above and only with:
- Service providers that host the website and deliver form submissions to us by e-mail, and providers that help us prevent spam. They may process information only on our instructions.
- Transaction parties such as escrow or title companies, attorneys, notaries, appraisers and recording offices, when needed to complete a purchase you have agreed to.
- Public-record and verification services used in due diligence.
- Authorities when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights, our property or the safety of any person.
- A successor in connection with a merger, sale or reorganization of the firm, subject to this policy.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Cookies and embedded services
This website does not set tracking cookies of its own. Certain pages embed services from third parties that may set cookies or collect technical information under their own privacy policies: Google Maps (on the Contact page) and, if enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects our forms from automated abuse. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Do Not Track. Because we do not track visitors across websites, we do not respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
5. Retention
We keep inquiry records for as long as needed to respond and, where a transaction follows, for the period required to administer it and to meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations. Inquiries that do not lead to a transaction are retained for a reasonable period and then deleted or anonymized. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security purposes.
6. Security
The website is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are validated and filtered for abuse before delivery, and access to inquiries is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please do not send account numbers, Social Security numbers or original documents through the website, and do not e-mail sensitive documents unless we have asked for them.
7. Your choices and rights
You may review, correct or ask us to delete the personal information you have provided by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time and, where the law requires, within the applicable statutory period. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — including, for California residents, the right to know what personal information we have collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect.
8. Children
This website is intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
9. Third-party websites
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
10. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will post the revised version here with a new effective date. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
