Trust
Every offer is in writing. Every condition is stated before you commit, never after.
About the firm
RE Notes, Instruments & Investments was founded in Beverly Hills in 2014 to do one thing well: buy real estate notes, judgments and liens with its own capital, quickly and without ceremony. Over the years the firm has added direct investment in property and secured debt. The approach has not changed.
What we do
We purchase instruments that entitle their holder to be paid — promissory notes secured by deeds of trust and mortgages, money judgments, and recorded liens — from people and institutions who would rather have a certain sum today than an uncertain stream tomorrow.
We are principals, not brokers. We do not list your note for sale, run it past a committee or raise money against it. We underwrite it, make a written offer within a day and, if the offer is accepted, fund it — in as soon as ten days.
Our purchase range, $500,000 to $30 million, reflects the transactions we are built for: estates and trusts, business sales with seven-figure carry-back notes, large judgments, and lenders exiting a position. Smaller instruments are reviewed selectively.
How we work
Every offer is in writing. Every condition is stated before you commit, never after.
Three asset classes, one region, one process. We do not do everything; we do this.
If we cannot buy, we say so promptly and tell you why. If diligence changes the picture, we explain what changed.
Careful underwriting is the reason we can move quickly. Speed without care is how mistakes are made.
The same sequence, the same documents, the same commitments, whether the file is one note or a portfolio.
No public deal board, no marketing lists, no automated messages. Your file is seen by the people who underwrite it.

Leadership
The person who reviews your file is the person who signs the wire.

The firm is owned and run by its principal. There is no committee, no sales desk and no outside manager: the person who underwrites your instrument is the person who commits the capital, and you deal with that person directly from the first call to funding.
We keep a deliberately low profile. The firm does not publish deal announcements, does not market its purchases and does not name its counterparties — a courtesy we extend to everyone we work with.
Meetings are held at the firm's Beverly Hills office by appointment.
